ROFLMBO - but this is important!

I got an e-mail the other day I want to warn you all about. It was from "citibank" YEA RIGHT!! Ok so anyway, it said that I had to click the link and verify my information or my account would be subject to temporary suspension! [img]images/smiley_icons/roflmbo.gif[/img] [img]images/smiley_icons/roflmbo.gif[/img] You'll see why I'm laughing [img]images/smiley_icons/roflmbo.gif[/img] [img]images/smiley_icons/roflmbo.gif[/img] though I shouldn't be cause I know people are going to get taken with this. Now the reason I"m laughing: I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH CITIBANK!!!! These people are so stupid as to phish (a process of sending out e-mails to gain access to people's personal information) people that don't have an account where they're trying to gain info from!

I know we've talked this subject to death....but I can't help but to stress the importance of never ever ever clicking a link on an e-mail like that. If you're in doubt...you have a phone # to whatever company to find out for yourself. I'm going to go to the citigroup website and see if they have anywhere I can send this too to help them out. E-mails can be tracked to a person's IP so I figure the more we try to help, maybe we can get these people where they belong...BEHIND BARS!

Tammy's right--this is not the normal spam we get everyday--this is an illegal operation to take advantage of anyone they can.



PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF ANY EMAIL YOU GET!! DON'T ANSWER IT IF YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE THE SENDER. IF POSSIBLE CALL THE COMPANY THAT WAS "SUPPOSE" TO HAVE SENT IT--ASK THEM WHAT TO DO WITH THE BOGUS EMAIL.
