Noah's Arks of any kind are used to decorate my home. I make a lot of my own and receive many others as gifts. Since I have a decidedly "Country" style to my decor, I don't usually go for the "Nursery" style ark things in pastels. I have all kinds of things: Teapots, Butter Dishes, Salt & Pepper shakers, Cookie Jars & Cutters, Pot Holders, Wall Hangings, pictures, Boxes, Placemats, Candles, Ornaments, Brickabrack, baskets, children's books & Bird Houses. I even have a thermometer, a rain guage and fan pulls! I love looking for things to buy and even more for ideas for things to make!! My DH says he fully expects to wake up some morning to find that I have painted a Noah's Ark on him during his sleep!! I am currently working on a table and chairs for my kitchen.
Here is my Flickr site with pictures of some of my Noahs

I also collect Christmas Candles. That collection has become so large that I've decided I can't get them all out every year anymore! I packed them up in groups (Santas, Snowmen, Angels, etc.) this year and am planning to decorate in themes from now on! DH fusses when he has to drag the boxes down for Christmas -- but he has been my "enabler" now for almost 20 years now! I don't believe that I have personally bought more than a couple candles since we've been married, but my collection has gone from ONE large suitcase sized box to fill many large boxes! He buys me at least one new candle every year for Christmas, and has been known to buy several when he finds them ---- this year he bought two, but only gave me one -- saying he's going to keep the other for next year! He says it gets harder and harder to find shaped wax candles every year.
DH collects Christmas Mugs and Ornaments. He especially likes the old fashioned Mercury Glass ornaments. We also have a collection of "Anniversary Ornaments" (one for each year of our marriage) and a collection of "Yearly Ornaments" for each of our boys. The "Yearly Ornaments" will go with the boys when they move away from home -- that way their first Christmas Tree will have ornaments from their past. Hopefully more "homey" than the store bought ornaments that I went out and bought enmass for my first tree!
