most often find pieces to add to your collection?

I've got lots of my s & p's as gifts or found them at garage sales.

I buy most of my cookbooks new, but have also found a few at sales.

All of my cream and sugar sets have been bought at auction sales or bargain shops.

My rooster stuff is about half new and half second-hand.

How 'bout your collections?

My fav subject!!!

I buy at Yard and Garage Sales, Estate Sales, Flea Markets, Auctions, Ebay & Thrift shops!!

Today I picked up a toothpick holder for 25cents, on the weekend I got one at a flea market for $1 and a piece of vintage burgandy potery for $2!!

Grant and I also collect a painters work by the name of anna, that's just how she signs her work!! We found one on the weekend and paid $17.50 and it should be worth aobut $400. I have been collecting anna's for years!! I have bought many for my mom, she has about 8 now, she gave one to Grant with an old boat in it and I have one in my spare room, and the colours from the painting are what I did the decorateing in!!

She is a Canadian Oil Painter!! She paints in areas we know and I think that's what the draw is for us!!

The one I bought on the weekend I have to clean, before I hange it in the other spare room and the colours in it are just perfect!!!

Aparently she still paints, but uses her full name and no longer signs anna!! So We are picking upo her older works, which is just fine with us!! The cheapest I have bought her pictures for is 25cents!!!! I gave this one to my mom for christmas one year and it was her first anna, she cried as she has always wanted one!!

I think I giggled the entire way home on Sunday as I was so excited about the find!!

It's all in the hunt!! I love the excitment of finding my treasures!!
