Default Polymer Clay
Old 01-08-2009, 01:44 PM   #1 (permalink)

I saw a lady at a craft show making the cutest little guys out of polymer clay and want to give it a shot. It was the first time I had seen it.

Can someone direct me to a good supplier? I am really excited to try it when I return back home.

Amy

Hi Amy. I'm new here and was browsing the boards when I found your post. A good clay to start out with that is easy to find (Walmart) and cheap enough to throw out if you don't like it, is Sculpy. This is a good clay for beginners, though if you want to make pieces to sell..... you'd have to upgrade to Super Sculpy, or Fimo available at Michaels, Joann Fabrics and many places online. Word of warning....... working with clay is addictive!!!! My husband is forever telling people "she was lost in clayland again". Any questions about working with clay, feel free to ask.

Anytime. When you're ready let me know what type things you're interested in sculpting and I'll send you some links. Just hope you're not in a rush since right now I'm pretty much single handedly trying to pack up a 3 story house with 20 yrs of "stuff". The idea of downsizing is thrilling..... the act is daunting. And all while going through Clay withdrawal!!!!!!
