Time to tighten that belt!

Ok you cheap chicks....news is saying gas, in the states, could get up to $3 a gallon this summer. Much like last year we're gonna have to tighten those belts. Some people are deciding no summer vacations this year. So let's refresh those energy and gas savings and other tricks to save money.

I think one I hate to do, but driving the speed limit helps a lot!!


Not gunning it to take off from a stopped possition helps too!! Just start out slow no matter how it bugs the guy behind you!!



We have a gas company that gives out cents off coupons for next time!! I asked where ours where the other day and Grant said he thru them out!!Ugh!!



One that Leah mentioned once was for us Canadians is to save the canadian tire money and buy a gift card with it, then use the gift card at their gas bar!! You can't use their cents off coupons at the pumps, but if you go certain days they will give you 5 to 8 times the normal coupon back!!



That's about all I know!!

We are still going on vacation though!!

As often as we are able, we buy our gas at No frills gas bar. They give a coupon for 2 cents a litre for the grocery store - then I go to the store once a month or so for a big grocery shop (it's 30 minutes away, but on hubbies way to work) It also helps that they normally have one of the better gas prices


Planning your trips - I know we have said it before, but try to cut down on the little trips in milk bread etc by planning what you will need
