wax paper technique

Last weekend I went to a wax techniques class. We learned some interesting techniques and one was with wax paper.

Basically you crumple up the wax paper then straighten it out again, repeat this multiple times for different textures. The put the wax paper between two sheets of glossy paper and iron. The ironing transfers the texture from the wax paper to the glossy paper.

Below is a picture of a card we made using the technique. The background is made using the wax paper technique and brayering color over it.

What is "brayering"?

Hey I really like this,I am going to go get me some wax paper and give this a try.I need invitions for a b-day party this would be a neat back ground.

Braying is with a roller.You roll your brayer in your ink colors and then roll it over your paper to put on the color.
