| Hi Nan,
Here are a couple of ways that you can use Pearl Ex...
Dip the tip of a Dove blender pen into the Pearl Ex, and then color with it. The blender fluid acts as a bonding agent for the Pearl Ex. Only pick up a little at a time on the blender pen, as a little will go a long way.
You can also mix Pearl Ex with Duo glue, to make a paint.
And here is one for use with the Xyron adhesive. Stamp your image on a piece of acetate with Ancient Page or another permanent ink. When the ink has completely dried, run the acetate through your Xyrons adhesive cartridge. Remove the image from the sheet.
Choose a couple of colors of Pearl Ex to use. Dip a paint brush into the first color of Pearl Ex, and dust it over some of the adhesive on the acetate, leaving empty spaces for the second color...the powder will stick, and will show through on the other side. Repeat this with the second color to fill in the empty spaces, until your entire image is colored in with the Pearl Ex. Now, stick the entire thing to a piece of dark colored cardstock. When you are finished, you end up with a multi-colored, sparkly effect that is beautiful!
I am attaching an example of this so that you can see it. Keep in mind, that this is one that I goofed on, and missed a small strip down the side of the image. I have had it sitting on my desk for a few weeks, so I figured I would scan it for you to see! |
