Default candy in candles?
Old 06-25-2003, 04:55 PM   #1 (permalink)

Here is a question for ya Jennifer! I have seen where people make these gel candles and it looks like they have put like mints and things in then. I have also seen cinnamon sticks in them. Are these real candies and things? If so, do they burn well?

The candles you are talking about probably have candy made of glass in them. It isnt safe to put objects into gel candles that are potentially flammable and I would think that real candy would be pretty flammable, plus depending on the candy it might melt when the hot gel wax is poured onto it. I played around with the cinnamon stick candles before and you have to be very careful to place the cinnamon sticks as far away from the flame as possible. It really is kind of a pain in the butt to work with.
