| Hi.. I would read the outside of the box to see what it says. There are different kinds of paraffin. Paraffin is a petroleum by product. It has different melting points.The lower the melting point, the more oil. Low melting point paraffin is good for container candles. Higher melting point for free standing candles and highest melt for tapers. I know I used parafin for sealing jelly jars and it said it was very flammable. So watch what kind you buy. Also with paraffin you can make your candle and decorate the outside of your candle with it. For example brush a little paraffin on a flower or shell and glue it to your candle. Then take a paint brush and brush on paraffin to seal it.
