| As far as food candles go I have made the cupcakes, and all of the pies in a jar, as well as champagne, and coffee. The cupcakes are easy, you use muffin papers for the outside and you place a wick in the center and then pour your wax into the muffin papers...yes, it will hold the hot wax! Then after they have cooled you melt some more wax and let it start to cool and form a skin, at this time you will whip it like icing with a whisk. You have to work fast or it will all harden on you. Start to spread the whipped wax on top of the cupcake like you would icing! The pies in the jar require regular wax and gel wax. You need a fruit mold of any kind whether it be for candy or for candles it will work. You melt your regular wax and pour into the fruit molds and let harden and then pop out. Next you heat the gel (and in all of this don't forget to add the color and scents that you like to all of your wax as well as grease your molds) put the fruit slices in the freezer to bring the temp down so they will not melt when you pour the gel over them. Start by placing a few fruit slices in the bottom and pouring in the wax. You continue doing this with the slices and the wax until the jar is full....Don't forget to put in the wick first! Champagne is just gel and the coffee is regular wax in a coffee cup with a whipped top like the cupcake. You can even make floats and add a straw! I hope this helps! |
