The Book Thief

I recently bought a second hand copy of The Book Thief for my son to read, I like to encourage him :) but because he was still only halfway through the book he was reading I started to read it myself. I enjoyed the style of writing and the story which was set in the second world war seen through the eyes of the grim reaper and a small girl in germany. It was a great story well written and I cried all the way through the last two chapters. It is not often we are told of how the german people who were not Hitlers supporters got through the war.
