Default RE: Macomber books
Old 12-18-2007, 11:15 AM   #11 (permalink)

I have never been much of a reader until a few years ago when it was my resolution to read 6 books in the next year. That started a flood of reading. One day my sister and I went to a used book store to look for two of her books. She had looked at Wally World and had no luck. I laughed at her for liking Debbie Macomber so much that she had to get the rest of the series ( at least at that time it was all in that series).
I picked up one of her Christmas books - The Christmas Baskets - and could not hardly put it down or stop laughing. I did learn by her and purchased the entire set with the addresses before I began reading, only to find it was not the entire set. I do believe in recycling and shop at Goodwill and other thrift stores. I even have hooked a few other people at work on them. Donna LaVoie (?) is also good as is Susan Wiggs.
Being reformed from years ago, I now carry a book with me everywhere, JUST IN CASE!.

Hope you heal slowly enough to get some good reading done but fast enough that it will be more like a pause in your life. Prayers are with you.

Wink I'm doing great!!

First off~
thanks for all of the well wishes on my surgery. My surgery went well (10/9/07) I felt great for 9 days then I reherinated the same spot on the 19th putting on my panties after a shower.....TIA sorry but I didn't want anything thinking that I was doing something that I shouldn't be doing. I struggled for about 2 months with pain, leg numbness and tingling~then had a spinal epidural on 12/11 and am now painfree! Still taking some medication to decrease the nerve pain but all is good again!
Now for the books~
Yes I know about her newsletter and am even a subscriber.
I wasn't much of a big reader either but a friend turned me on to Janet Evonavich books about 5 years ago and since she only puts out 2 times a year I had to find other goodies to read.
I do enjoy Debbies books.
I like to read before bed as some wind-down time. Now I do admit that there have been times that I can't put my book down. And that makes for a short night~:p
I should carry a book with me at all times~but then I would be tempted to read when I should be working. So I will leave it on the night stand....
Glad everyone is reading!!!
Now back to your books!!
mgf~ :high5:
