Susan Wiggs!

I got her latest pb, Dockside....I like what I've read so far and will be looking for more of her books. In fact, I got the book because Debbie MaComber is quoted on the cover!

Talking Yes, I Love Debbie Macomber
Old 10-01-2007, 10:32 AM   #3 (permalink)

Hi Cupcake - What a sweet name - no pun intended (not much anyway!)

I also love Debbie. She has a way with words that really brings me right into the story! But Hey - did I read that you want to give away books?!? Why not go to:
PaperBackSwap : Your source for swapping books online! and let all those book accomplish something for you?

Hi!
My name is Kathy, and I live in sunny southern California. Like you, I enjoy a good read. (people who don’t are boring and insipid - but that’s another story!)
Since you enjoy reading I thought you should know about PaperBackSwap : Your source for swapping books online! This is a book club for people (like me) who HATE book clubs. There are no dues - no fees - no quotas to keep up with. It is ordinary people, just like you and me, who have too many books that they have read laying around the house gathering dust. When you sign up, you list 9 of your books as available for swap. That is your “Book Shelf”. Automatically you will receive 3 credits. But on October 5, 2007 this will change to: you list 10 books and receive 2 credits - so get in there NOW! Each credit is good for one book, and there are well over one MILLION books from which to choose! You search through the FANTASTIC database, pick out what you want and order. Simple as that! The person who listed the book which you have requested will mail it to you and you pay NOTHING! When someone chooses one of your books you will mail it to them and you will only pay the postage - US Postal Service Media Rate - well below the cost of First Class Mail. That’s it!
The site even has mailing labels and other great stuff available on line for your use. When you go to the post office, if you decide you want delivery confirmation on a book you mail, you will be charged at least 75 cents - but if you purchase delivery confirmation from the PaperBackSwap website it will cost you 23 cents! AND - you will get another credit as soon as the post office scan-swipes your wrapped book - instead of waiting for the book to be delivered. Oh yeah - I forgot to tell you that for every book you mail out, you will get another credit so you can get ANOTHER book mailed to you! And if you're really impatient - or live far from the post office you can pay for and print the postage right onto your mailing label for only a small fee. This system is absolutely a no-brainer and is win/win all the way!
I signed on to PaperBackSwap.com in October, 2006 and I have received nearly 80 books so far! If you figure the average cost of a paperback is about $4.50 (but usually MUCH higher) I’ve saved over $400.00 this way! And you can have the books you choose sent to other addresses also. When my little niece in New York had her fifth birthday I had an ANGELINA BALLERINA book sent to her. It cost me nothing extra to have it sent directly to her. Like I said before - a win/win situation!
You can also swap hard cover books, audio tapes, CD’s and DVD’s. This site is growing like a kudzu vine on a hot summer night in the south and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! When you recommend the site and someone signs on, telling PaperBackSwap it was your recommendation, you will receive ANOTHER credit! I hope you will go to the website and check it out. The address is:
www.paperbackswap.com
I know you will enjoy it (and to be honest, it would be fun for me to get another credit because of YOUR joy! Just use my e-mail address as your referral. It is: katzpawz1a@hotmail.com
HAPPY SWAPPING!
