My son had me order it from Amazon and he got it yesterday. And after working from 7am - 10:30 pm the day before and getting back up for work at 6am yesterday to work until 4pm (he works 2 jobs) He read the whole thing before he went to bed... at who knows when... It must have been really good!!!
[We had an hour drive back from getting the book and I made my hubby read it out load the whole way. I ended up staying up until 4 am reading and he staye dup til 5. He finished Saturday night and well I actually took time to stop eat, sleep etc...
Lots of unexpected stuff in the book, but it was good! :p
Kelly and I went to the Midnight Ball at the mall. Then Saturday went to get the mail...DOH I forgot I had preordered it! So we've got 2 copies. I'm a little over half way through, the thing is I haven't read the other books! But I'm still following along with a little help from Kelly! LOL
LoL, I have to wait till my Ashley gets done with it. She said, "Mom you did get it for me."
I felt like scuffing my foot on the floor saying, "Well Geez.":D
Well..........I don't read the books~~~I have seen the first movie but other than that I'm clueless about them.
My DH is really against it all. He listens to alot of preachers while he drives and they are really made a case for it being bad.
I really enjoyed the first movie~I have a friend bringing my the books so I can read them...call it rebellious but I want to decide for myself.
Funny story though~we were at the mall and saw this guy reading the book and asked him about it~he was about 1/4 thru it then went back on Sunday and he had finished it. He did tell me about some of it but that just made me want to read them more!
Has anyone ate the candy jelly beans..........vomit??? earth worms??? ugh!
I like to listen to the Christian channel while I'm driving too. :p I was actually listening to one the night that the book came out and they were discussing Harry Potter. Both sides had good points.
But what's so different between Harry Potter and The Lion Witch and The Wardrobe? They both use magic. There is a man in the HP books that considers himself a god and they protray Aslan as a god of Narnia. Harry Potter is considered witch craft yet the C.S. Lewis book is considerd ok and the movie was promoted by some churches.
The beans are good! Well when you are giving them to unsuspecting people. *NEVER* give them to your boss who loves jelly beans without him knowing what they are first though!!!!
I like the Chocolate Frogs. I started collecting the cards that coem with them, but that is getting to be one expensive collection so I stopped. :p
After I saw the first movie I really felt that it was about friendship!
My DH didn't want to hear anything about it!!
I totally agree about the CS Lewis books~
I will read the books~I'm not one to take others opinions but for the sake of my DH I tried.
I am interested in the story~
I will let ya know what I think~
mgf~
In my opinion, it's good vs. evil which is what religion is about...Good is God and Evil is the Devil!
There is a kid in England that made a book using Harry Potter books to teach religion! I saw it on CNN last week!
