I agree!! It's been a long time in the happening!! About 4 years I think, since the first post about them showed up!!LOL
I love it cause it is inexpensive, to start out and all ages can do it!! They make a nice card stuffer, as you can do inspiration ones and they make a nice liitle gift!!
When I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with my crafting I will make an ATC and it helps get my creative juices going again!!!
I'm tickled pink in all the responses we have been getting about them of late!!!
Well I don't know when I will make a new one. I am going to focus on making blocks for a quilt from the book Care Bear ABC. It's basically the alphabet in bubble type letters with colors inside the bubbles and a Care Bear attached to the letter some way. There's only 10 bears for the whole book. I have ABC done about 2 years ago. Now I am hoeing to get the other 23 done. Mom is gonna make them into a quilt.
I will say as messed up as my first design was it was fun. I bought the beads i used just for my ATC's. I have 6 colors of beads and one multi set.
I am deffineately interested but after I cut about 40 squares last evening and all the ideas going through my head. I go to start my very first one and all the ideas are gone and I never did get that first one made. Writer's block... How about ATC BLOCK? What do you do?
When I get a block I try looking through card & scrapbooking magazines. Even beading magazines give me ideas. Or I start simple and make a photo atc. I LOVE those. They are so easy.
I even have "crafting" movies. They are movies I know by heart and once I pop them in I just start creating stuff! If it's a new movie there is no way I'm getting anything done! I'll be spending more time watching it than creating.
I am like Lanak I go through books and sites on the web when I get stuck with no ideas and see what others are doing to see if I can get inspiration. It usually helps and starts things going in my head. You can do it just pick up a card and start with the frist thing that comes to mind and let it go from there.
i feel like an over excited child bouncing around getting that feeling of doing the "im readddyyyyyy to atccccccccccc swap NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW im sorry about that mom always said i was a bit high strung
