Ok Lets see if I can make more sense with these.
Here is one link that will help.

Now remember there is only one rule of Art Trading Cards. They must be 2 1/2" by 3 1/2".
Most people back their work with a playing card from a deck of cards. You can do this by adhering acid free card stock to the face of the card with acid free glue such as a glue stick etc.
This would be your starting layer I call it.
Now if doing painting such as oil or water color you can do it on a heavier paper then back it with the card. I personally use old baseball cards and cover both front and back with card stock.
You can creat a card using embellishements such as tiny charms, ribbon, you get the idea, attach or create as you would scrap booking.
Now a big thing is copy rights of photos, liscinced items such as Disney, Barbie and that kind of thing.
These are becoming a huge thing and it is hard to keep up with everything trust me. I have been a memeber of ACEO group on ebay only for a couple of months and it is overwhelming to say the least. There is always something new to learn or see.
For the best examples I suggest going to ebay and in the search type in ACEO there is right at this moment 2784 cards listed in various mediums and media from artists around the world.
I enjoy doing photography and I have started to use these in my cards. I would love to start trading as well as I am selling them. They start as low as .01 and can go for as much as 450.00US which was sold on auction this past summer. It was a lovely oil painting of the Mona Lisa holding a Jack Russell Pup. Just amazing work.
I don't think this is just going to be a passing fad. I do believe that it is going to stay around for a great deal of time.
I do have more info as well will have more samples for you soon.
As for a board here at CC with these cards I would love to see that.
I will post some of my cards for you to see a few examples of what I do. But trust me there are so many ways to create and these cards.
Sorry to go on but this is become a favorite thing since learning about it myself.
