Cappuccino Mix



1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer

1 cup chocolate milk mix

2/3 cup instant coffee

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Combine all ingredients. Perfect for any occasion and easy to make. Include a gift tag with these directions: "To serve: Place one heaping tablespoon in cup with boiling water. Use whipped cream if desired.

Old Fashioned Hot Cocoa

Makes 4 cups

4 cups milk

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa

4 tablespoons semisweet chocolate, shaved or chopped





Put all ingredients in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Place pan over a medium flame; bring milk to a simmer, stirring constantly. Do not let the mixture boil. Remove from heat when the chocolate melts. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

SPARKLING RHUBARB WINE



MAKE SURE EQUIP IS STERILIZED FIRST



750g sugar

1kg rhubarb

1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar

4.5 lt water

2 lemons



wash and cut rhubarb into small peices and place in a containor with juice and rind of lemons, add remining ingredentsand stand for 48 hrs, strain 3 times, then bottle, leave for 2 wks before using, making sure you release the pressure during that time, serve well chilled in champagne glasses

GINGER BEER PLANT

never divide this plant more than 5 times



PLANT

8 sultanas

juice of 2 lemons

1 cup of sugar

1 tbsp ground ginger

2 cups cold water



place ingredents in a jar, and stir well, SIT the lid on top to keep out bugs and dust, place in a warm location, and leave for 2 - 3 days untill mix starts to ferment (it is fermenting when there is a bubble on top, which eventually turns in to a "sludge" this is the plant) when it has started feed each day for 7 days with 2 tsp ground ginger

4 tsp sugar



TO MAKE UP



in a CLEAN plastic bucket

4 cups sugar

4 cups boiling water

juice of 4 lemons



in to the syrup strain the plant through a fine cloth and squeeze dry. add 28 cups of cold water, bottle and seal

leave to mature in the bottle for a couple of weeks be4 drinking, remembering to release the pressure or abn explosion will occour



KEEPING THE PLANT ALIVE



divide left over plant in half, place on half back in the jar, add 2 cups of cold water, 8 new sultanas, 1 cup sugar, and follow as before.



product is 5 % alcoholic
