These would be good to do with children too...perhaps using a stappler or tape to hold the pieces together while the glue sets up may be helpful. I know how impatient some little folks can be when the glue just doesn't set up quickly enough. Possibly embelish these gals with some glitter or lace? Let's be creative EH?
