Default T.V.Guide Angel
Old 11-05-2002, 01:27 PM   #1 (permalink)

I had a great time yesterday.I made my first t.v. angel. It was my first attempt and it came out great.

Now I'm calling up my family asking them to save their t.v. guides.

Has anyone here ever made one before?

It's real simple.

First you need two t.v. guides for the body of the angel.

Take the upper right corner of each page and fold it over to the center of the t.v. guide so you have a triangle.

I crease this fold with my fingers.Do every single page in both guides the same way. Each side looks like a half fan.

Then glue both t.v. guides together (I use hot glue).I then spray painted the body silver.

I used a styrofoam ball for the head and decorated the face and added hair.

For the wings I used clear plastic I took out of the recycle bin and spray painted them white. I decorated her with lace and some old jewelry for a pendent at her neck.

Hi all. I finally have a picture of what one of my angels look like.

The t.v. guide angels are usually about 10 1/2 inches tall.I made this one from smaller cut up magazines into 2 1/2 inch rectangles. She's just a smaller version of one. She's only about 5 1/2 inches high.
