| These angels are made of tongue depressors--first drill a hole to put the cording in to hang on the Christmas tree--next with acrylic white paint cover all of the stick except the head area--with a piece of foam cut out a star shape, press it into a color of paint of your choice, then stamp out the star on the dress area of the angel (the stamping doesn't need to be perfect, this is a rustic angel)--with acrylic paint, make her some shoes (I chose to have ballet shoes with laces criss-crossing up her legs)--I used Tulip paint to define the hem of her dress and the top of her shoes and the separation of her legs--I also used Tulip paint to accent the neck line of her dress and glued a ribbon at the neckline--her eyes are formed by using the end of the paintbrush--her hair is "feathered" by taking an old paint brush and cutting V's in it--her halo is made with Tulip silver glitter paint--her wings are funfoam cut in the shape of hearts and accented with a Markie pen to make the stitching lines, the center of the wings are covered in glue--then covered with ultra fine glitter. That's it! |
