| Here's an easy re-do that costs only pennies! I've made several as gifts and have sold a half dozen or so!
Start with a wooden chair (the kind with a removable seat) and take out the seat. Staple or nail a sheet of wire (I use chicken wire) across the seat area, being careful to fold the wire ends to avoid someone getting scratched. Paint or decorate the chair as you desire. I painted this one with exterior flat paint but didn't add any embellishments. They look really cute with a little birdhouse, etc. added to the seat back.
Measure and cut a piece of burlap larger than the seat area. Tack or staple the burlap in place. NOTE: I put a tiny fold in the fabric on all four sides, allowing the middle of the fabric to sag a little, forming a pocket.
Place a potted plant (I used an old bowl with a crack in it for this one) in the seat and cover it with decorative moss to cover the pot or container.
