Record Art....

A little while back, while surveying a large heap of trash

for assorted gems and keepers, I came across a cardboard box full

of records.



Into the van it went...and when I got home I soon discovered they

were overall in bad shape.

Scratched, some slightly warped.

A few keepers, but others were just horrid music or not playable due to skipping.

Never did thrown them out... glad I didn't,,, cause I'm now making record art.



Priming them first, then using multi-media....acrylic and/or spray paint, collage...

I've got so much vigor and excitement--- alot of fun.

Definitely in the POP ART mood.

Here's another idea you might wanna try:

If you put them in a low oven they get soft, then you can shape them into decorative bowls and paint them. We had the directions for &quot;baking&quot; them here on the boards...I'll see if I can find it and post it here if you're interested!

These are neat I like the apple core to,I like cupcakes idea of the bowls to.
