Oh wowsers, I would say Library summer reading {if yours has one} I would agree with the girls it depends on the time you have with him, if you are a working parent.
What about outdoor games, Badmitten,horseshoes, things like that. You could play together.
From my sister -in-law she has a 6 yr old no other childern, she makes him up a create of cars, things to build bridges with, Branches, shovels.

I hope you find what you are looking for. I will check with her on more things.
