I've used many of the things already mentioned but my absolute fave has to be zip lock baggies. They make them in every size and shape. I put those little balls of yarn that are too much to pitch but unwind easily together by color or yarn type in a gallon bag. Ribbons can be looped and semi-folded into bags - take up less room than rolls and no need for little pieces of tape or pins. Beads are all kept in baggies and then in larger fishing tackle boxes.

I'd be absolutely lost without them bags.

Those storage boxes are amazing! But I'd rather buy more crafting supplies than sink that much into containers for them.
