| I don't think it is just South Africian's. I think there are people all over that don't understand and value them.
I remember as a kid growing up I got to an age where I had to have store bought skirt not a handmade one, because I felt like I stuck out in school.
I know some people even today who still view handmade gifts as cheap....
But I think that is changing, especially the more enviornmentally aware we all become. Someone sent me a link to a blog about the earth friendliness of using the hand crocheted sponges instead of the ones you can buy in the store. |
