Lightbulb Plant collars
Old 07-06-2008, 09:39 AM   #1 (permalink)

I am sure everyone has done this but just think it needs posting ~ I have planted quite a few new things these past few years , and the problem I have is the boys have run over so many things with the mower , this drives me crazy !!!!! So I have used the 2 liter plastic pop bottles and cut the neck off of them and the bottom (so they are " tubes", then put over the new plants ,for the larger plants I slit up the side and take a piece out then put one on either side of the plant ~ (to form collars)this has save some of my new babies and the boys now know stay away LOL
ps . the clear bottles allow the sun to get through !
how this is something you can use I will post a pic in a bit ~
