Rich saw it in broad daylight walking around the yard. The trim strip it tore off was on the deck. Our deck is carpeted and this was a piece of the baseboard trim that was against the house.I am assuming it was trying to get in. I just don't know why we didn't hear all the noise. I can think of no other reason for it to tear that strip off other then to get into the house. On a couple nights I kept telling Rich it sounded like someone was on the deck. He of course thought I was hallucinating but I wasn't. lol
On another note, my girlfriend lives about a mile from me. She is afraid to go out because a huge black bear was in the neighbors yard drinking nectar from the hummingbird feeder. I told her it probably would run unless it had cubs. She has about 8 deer bedding down in her yard every night by her pine trees. She has skunks, squirrels, a red fox etc. She is scared to death about this bear.
