Something my grandfather used to do is get some old jars and metal lids (ie canning jars, jelly jars, majo jars, etc).
He would then screw or nail the lid to the underneath of a shelf, or sometimes the roof (if it was low enough, like in a shed). Then just screw the jar onto its lid.
Viola, hanging organizers! You will never loose the lid and alway know what is inside. The plus? You are also recycling!

I also reused my kids' toy organizers. Like alot of people now adays, I am strapped for extra money. My kids got rid of enough toys they no longer needed those bin organizers with the wooden shelf. I used them for a base to place a counter top on to work on for my crafts. But you I imagine you could also hang them on a wall, just make sure it won't fall! :)
