We used to put our scraps at the bottom of the back garden to try and stop the wild ones from getting into the garbage bins and making such a mess. Then 4 years ago one lovely day in May and still daylight we had the inside door open and the screen and glass storm door clean enough to see through.

I was washing dishes when I hard something at the door, my thought was "good gracious" there was a young beautiful Raccoon staring in at me, I started speaking to her and she did not run away. I called Al to get the camera while I kept talking to her and made her a P/J sandwitch which she loved. since then she has been a regular, I named her Gracie right away as it seemed perfect for her and we love her so much, she is so precious.
she has brought her latest broods with her and as I believe has spread the word to all the other wild ones in our area so we are now known as "Critters Cafe"

I have rescued birds and had loads of chipmonks that used to climb up my legs and go into my apron pockets to fill their little jaws with peanuts, This of course was many years ago [guessing at 18] We moved here from the city 21 years ago so we hardly see chipmonks anymore but then I don't get outside the way I used to.
OOps I have messed up,tired so close this for now. Hope you can read the last part of it.
