I was asked what lights I put on the tree. I used a string of 35 lights that they have at Christmas at K-Mart or Wal-Mart each year. I just push the lights in starting at the top with the first light and work down the string pushing them in. They are not glued or pinned. Then carefully work the styrofoam cone into the tree. You can pull the lights out a little more when you get the cone in if it is necessary. I always make sure that I get the lights that stay lit if one goes out. I have made many of these trees and haven't had a problem with the lights coming out.
