This is real cute. I was going to suggest the same as Tina did if you can crochet you can make this easily. I often take a knitted pattern and crochet it.

I am making two fleece frog ponchos this hat would look great with them, was going to make headbands but if I find the time might do it on the kniftyknitter as that is much quicker.
