I took up tin can sculpturing back in the '70s--I saw some old pieces at a craft fair on exhibit--my brain clicked away and told me that I could do that--I went home, made my own tools and after a few very serious cuts to my hands, I invested in a good pair of leather gloves! I sat and created my own designs from the supplies that I had. The pieces that I am showing you here are all I have left from the years of doing this. All my work has been sold as fast as I could make it or given as gifts. I still dabble in it, but not as much as before, my hands are not what they once where! I hope you enjoy looking at the pics and get some ideas of what it is all about.
These chairs and lounge were some of the first that I made. They were made from soup cans and a spam can. The cushions are made from velvet stuffed with cotton batting. The one on the left is spray painted an off-white with a red cushion, the one in the middle is painted green with a cream cushion, and the one on the right is painted red with a black cushion.
