This is a small bird I made for a Christmas ornament swap I'm currently in. I did some crazy quilt stitching and embellishing on it. But of course you could make them to your liking. The pattern I have provided is from the spool blog spot, and will have to be reduced by 70% to make them as small as this one. If this is not possible the original pattern I will work as well only they may be a tad large .
Materials:
1-fabric of your choice about 8"X12" , for mine I sewed a bunch of different coordinating fabrics together, so scraps will work fine also.
2-fiber fill, cotton or some kind of stuffing. One lady used old dryer sheets for hers. I try to recycle when I can.
3- This isn't a must, but things to embellish. Such as embroidery floss, beads , lace, etc.
This will be a perfect gift for my mother. She has a artificial pine tree she decorates year round with different things. She loves birds; so I will make her several out of different fabrics.
