For the base, take the Peppermint Pattie and wrap it in foil or fold the corners under and tape. Glue a bow to the top of the Peppermint patty. Cut out the center loop of the bow.

Take the outer wrapping off the Lifesavers roll. Don't remove the foil wrap. Tape a Hershey Kiss to the end of the Lifesaver roll. This will create a candle. You can use other types of rolled candy such as Mentos, Rolos, Spree etc. Tape the bottom of the candle into the bow where the center loop was removed.

You can decorate the candle with ribbon or stickers. We used ribbon criss-crossed around the candy and to the red candle we added a chocolate heart candy.

Drill a small hole in the heart’s indentation. Paint the heart red and set it aside to dry.

Fringe the foil paper by cutting narrow strips along the width, about 1 inch deep. Apply a small amount of the transparent tape to one end of the uncut portion of foil paper. Attach tape to blunt end of skewer. Twist foil paper around skewer and fasten with another piece of tape to form the arrow “feather”.

Finishing: Poke pointed end of bamboo skewer through center of candy roll, apply dot of glue to tip of skewer and secure into hole in painted heart.

Easter Wreath

Use a Styrofoam wreath and cover it with paper twist (both items are available in craft stores). Secure the paper twist to the Styrofoam with wire fastener, floral pins or hot glue. Pinch and pick the paper twist to form loops that cover the wreath. Secure the loops with the floral pins. Make a bow at the bottom of the wreath and secure with floral pins and hot glue. Inside the bottom part of your wreath, hot glue some Spanish Moss (available at craft stores). Among the moss, nestle two to three Marshmallow Peeps® , securing their positions with hot glue. Hang from a door and let the glue set for several hours. If you plan to hang it outside and don’t want to attract bugs, spray the Marshmallow Peeps® with aerosol hair spray. The second idea for a wreath is to use a Styrofoam wreath and cover it with paper twist. This wreath could hang or sit flat on a table top or credenza. Place small grapevine wreaths around the larger wreath (it’s laying flat). Secure the grapevine wreaths with hot glue. Top each with Spanish Moss and Marshmallow Peeps® . Secure all with hot glue. Fill in the empty areas with paper twist bows and loops that are secured with floral pins and hot glue.

Ears
Cut two pink ears and two white ears 2 ˝-inches long and ˝-inch wide. Cut two chenille stems 3-inches long. Glue a pink and a white ear together with a chenille stem in between the two ear pieces. Leave about 3/4 of an inch of the chenille stem sticking out of the bottom of the ear. Repeat for other ear. Poke the end of the chenille stems into the top of the bunny head with the pink felt facing forward. Bend ears forward slightly.

Arms
Cut 40 3-inch lengths of white yarn. You will use 20 for the arms and 20 for the legs. Cut 4 10-inch length of package ribbon. For arms take 20 lengths of yarn and tie with a strand of yarn in the center. Tie one inch from each end with package ribbon. Curl the ends of the package ribbon. Tie the legs the same as the arms.
Fun Peep Crafts for Kids

Edible Necklaces
Children of all ages can have a great time stringing their own edible necklaces. All you need are strawberry or black shoestring licorice, Marshmallow Bunnies, cereal with holes, cocktail pretzels, or any other stringable food. Using a skewer or other sharp instrument (an adult should help here), poke holes throughout the sides of the ears of the Bunnies. From here, children can string together many different designs with the stringable food. The necklaces can be tied behind the neck, for a truly sweet fashion statement (if they last long enough).

Attachment 71 Attachment 72

Note: These were lots of fun to make, but incredibly messy. Here are some things we came up with to make these necklaces a little easier to handle:

To make piercing and stringing the marshmallows easier, grease both the skewer and the licorice strings.

* Getting the licorice through the hole is difficult for small fingers. We found that the easiest way to deal with this was to "stretch" the hole as we pierced it with the skewer and also stretch it again as we threaded the licorice through.

* The easiest place to pierce the Peeps was through the bottom of the ears on the bunnies, and through the neck on the chicks.

* The licorice strings are very fragile, especially when loaded down with Peeps and fruit loops. We simply ate anything that broke. Our mistakes were delicious!

Charming Peeps Cottage
Make a cookie cottage using a pint sized milk carton, graham crackers and white canned icing. Simply cover the carton with icing and place graham crackers to form walls and a roof. Decorate with colorful Peeps Jelly Beans and surround with Marshmallow Peeps® and Bunnies for a festive touch.
Peeps Mobile

Attach Marshmallow Peeps® and Bunnies to clear fishing line and hang at different lengths from a coat hanger that's covered with ribbon. Or, for a whimsical touch above your holiday table, just hang Peeps on clear wire directly from your chandelier.

Easy Easter Bonnets
Trim a straw bonnet with clusters of Peeps and Peeps Jelly Beans for a dashing holiday chapeau. Easter Bonnet with Marshmallow Peeps® Upon It A simple straw hat can be transformed into a colorful bedecked bonnet with the application of some ribbon or paper twist, Peeps Jelly Beans, Mike & Ike Easter Treats, and Marshmallow Peeps® or Bunnies. First, wrap the hat with paper twist (it comes in a wide variety of colors) and fashion a ribbon on the back or on one side. Anchor the ribbon with some craft wire and, if necessary, hot glue it into place. Using the hot glue gun, secure the Marshmallow Bunnies and Peeps Jelly Beans to the ribbon in a pattern that pleases you. Let dry for a few hours before wearing.
Measure all of the ingredients together into a big wooden bowl. Take turns stirring it with a big wooden spoon until it gets too stiff to stir any more, even for your dad.

Take a portion of the dough and make little balls about 3/4 inch round, Place the balls on wax paper and press a design into each ball with a fork (It is a good idea to dip the fork info powdered sugar occasionally to keep the fork from Sticking).Leave the mints on the wax paper and put them into the refrigerator to firm up. EZ Eezter Mints taste even better the second day if you can keep every- one from eating them! Cover them and leave them in the fridge until you want them.
