Unmounted Storage Idea

ok, this is more of a storage suggestion than a craft idea, but it works really well for unmounted stamps. I have over a thousand unmounted stamps and finding the one I wanted was getting - emmm, lets say troublesome. Now I use baseball card storage and slide storage sheets that fit into 3 ring binders. I cut paper to fit into the little pockets and stamped each image onto one. I put two stamps into each pocket with a paper on front and back and the stamps sandwiched in between them, so I doubled my storage. Then I divided them into categories by binder. I have several binders and can easily locate the stamp I am looking for. For stamps too large to fit into a baseball card or slide sized pocket, I picked up a couple of inexpensive photo "brag books" at the dollar store. Works great.

Stenciling and Stamp Art Card idea

Using either a brass or plastic stencil, place stencil on glossy card stock. Using round sponge and a rubber stamp dye ink, sponge color into stencil image area. Turn over on light box and pressure emboss the image into card. Remove stencil and stamp coordinating images around stencil image. Be sure to use GLOSSY card stock. Have fun.

EASY WAY TO WORK WITH EMBOSSING POWDER

Next time you purchase mints that come in small containers think before you throw out.
Little boxes such as "Tic Tacks are a great holder for the embossing powder when you want to have your various colors to finish a project.
It makes life a lot easier instead of pulling out all the powders taking up your space and you have better control as to the flow of powder on your project.
So chew up your mints and when your working on a stamping project fill up the empty containers of what you need and put those large containers away.
When your finished with the embossing powder simple pour back from the mint container back to the embossing bottle you took from.
You will find you have more space and a better flow with less the mess.
