Refrigerator Magnets

1. Gather small pictures you might use for the magnet picture.
Sticky stickers work well, pictures advertising booksand
magazines, pictures from food packages etc.
2. Cut around the picture.
3. Glue the picture onto construction paper or light card board,
such as a cereal box.
4. Use a clear contact paper or laminating film over the picture.
5. Trim around the picture again.
6. Glue a piece of magnet sheet on the back.
7. Let glue dry and give to friends etc.

I send one of these in my Christmas cards. It is nice to see it on my friends, relatives etc. refrigerator and they have a daily reminder of my friendship!

using wallpaper books

I get wallpaper books from paint stores, when new ones
come in, they throw the old ones out. I use the wall paper
pages to make fronts on cards and envelopes for the
cards. You can carefully take apart a store bought
envelope and use it as a pattern to make the envelopes.
You can use the wallpaper pages as background pages
for cards or you can cut out certain patterns and glue on
to card stock.

Glue two sheets of "busy colored" wallpaper together with modpodge and let dry. Stamp the image of a
butterfly (rubber stamp) using a dye based permanent ink. Let dry about 30 min. Cut image out with sharp scissors. Glue small strip of bootstrap leather for the body
section. Glue small black bead for head. Glue small piece of black thread on top of the bead/head for antenna. This can be made into package decoration, plant poke, or pin. Use your creative talents.....and share these instructions. Enjoy!!!

journals and diaries

I use wallpaper books for many craft ideas. One idea is covering a copy book with a pretty design, on the front and back. This makes a swell gift to a teenager and/or woman who likes to keep a journal or diary. I also cover the inside front cover and back cover to match, if i have enough of the same wallpaper.
