1. Using pressed flowers, petal, and leaves arrange a design on the front side of a clear glass plate. Remove design (still arranged) onto another plate.

2. Spray a good floral/photo adhesive onto the back of the glass plate and rearrange the floral design on the back of the plate (making sure the front of the flowers are face down so that when the plate is right side up they will show through correctly)

3. Once the design is in place, respray the back of the plate w/ the glue and gently lay a sheet of thin white tissue paper over the back of the plate - gently smoothing out as many of the wrinkles as possible. Allow the tissue paper to dry completely, and with a craft knife (razor or really sharp scissors work well also) cut along the edge of the plate to remove the excess tissue paper.

4. Finally spray several layers of an acrylic sealer (glossy or matte) to harden the tissue paper and make the plate water resistant.

**these plates are mainly decorative...if you do use them for food wash them by had GENTLY to keep the tissue and the flowers in good form

Materials:
Large shell
Wooden ball (depending on size of shell)
Hair
A string of gold or pearl beads---gold chenille stem will work for the halo.
Paint or Marker for the eyes
Ribbon about 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide---gold
Glue
Glitter

HOW TO:

1. Take large shell and put glue on it. *I use a paint brush with glue on it and paint my shell with glue.*

2. Sprinkle glitter on shell and let dry. *I use iridescent glitter on my shell*

3. Glue hair on the top of the wooden b all. Next take a string of gold or pearl beads and tack it to the hair. This is the halo. You can also use a gold chenille stem for the halo.

4. For the eyes you can paint or use magic marker to fill them in.

5. Glue the wooden ball to the top of the shell.

6. Glue a piece of gold string or thread to the back of the shell. This is used for hanging your angel.

7. Take your gold ribbon and fold the cut edges into the middle part of the ribbon. It will look like a bow. Glue the middle part of the ribbon then glue the ribbon bow to the back of the shell. This is the wing section of the angel.

Now, she is completed.

Chose a rock for this activity. The size will depend on your need to remember to pray. Place some fabric around it and tie the fabric bunched together at the top with a ribbon. Type out this poem and place in two columns, and fold in half. You can put a paper punch hole through the top to tie this little "book" (pamphlet) to the ribbon that holds the fabric in place. On the cover I have two hands praying and it says Prayer Rock.
I'm your little prayer rock and this is what I'll do. Just put mo on your pillow till the day is through.

Then turn back the covers and climb into bed; and WHACK your little prayer rock will hit you on the head!

Then you will remember as the day is through; to kneel and say your prayers as you wanted to.

Then when you are finished just drop me on the floor. I'll stay there through the nighttime to give you help one more.

When you get up next morning CLUNK, i stub your toe; so you will remember morning prayers before you go.

Put me back upon your pillow when you bed is made, and your clever little prayer rock will continue to your aid.

Because your heavenly Father cares and loves you so; He wants you to remember to talk to Him, you know.

This may be an old idea to some but it is so cute
To Make a paperweight, look thru the stones on your property and really look at the shapes.I found the shape of a watermelon, and painted a watermelon slice on it.I use Delta paints and then went over it with polyurethane. It is so cute.I am from Lyndhurst, N.J.and my name is Pat. I have already painted cats, dogs, bunnies, flowers anything can be painted and it doesn't always have to have the shape of the item you are painting.
Have Fun
