We love to create images of our family in vegetables. The heads and bodies are large pumpkins. Corn shucks make up the hair, some facial features and some clothing decorations. Hands and facial features can often be accomplished with small gourds and vegetables such as green and yellow zucchini. We hold the lighter items together with wooden skewers. The pumpkins just sit on top of one another. It's a great family activity and the results are usually "unique". Many of our neighbors started doing the same think and we look like a town of pumpkinheads. This year my children decided that they also wanted to make a pumpkin creature to represent our rabbit! Right now I have to go look for a very long pumpkin!
