I buy 6 types of dried beans and mix them in a gallon jar. This amount
will make several gifts. I put 2c. into a plastic bag and make a holiday
fabric bag for it and tie/ribbon and receipe attached to the top of the bag.
Bean soup
2 c. beans
ham hock or turkey ham
diced carrots, onions, and celey
lg. can tomatoes
S&P to taste

Wash beans, place beans and ham in crockpot/2-3 qts. water overnight
LOW temp.
In the AM, tear meat apart and return to crockpot, add all the rem. ingreds.
Cook on LOW all day. When it is suppertime- the soup is done.
Makes 4-6 qts. Depends on the amt. vegs. added.
