We start our Decorating in November, right after halloween.
There have been times when we started in October.
first thing to come out is the village set, then my santa claus's
and nutcrackers, then the trees.
My daughters and I make new ornaments every year for a keepsake.And we are in a christmas ornament swap club.
We make a ornament for each memenber including ourselves,
and print up recipes to share.. make goodies to share as well.
Some years we have a cookie swap too... anyway we have alot of fun swapping oramants, recipes and eating and fellowshipping
with each other. Its one of our favorite times of year!On christmas eve my kids started opening up one small gift to each other, and the kids werent allowed to get out of bed before my hubby and I had our coffee and turned on the christmas music first, and the tree lights ,then we would go get them up.The last few years we have been going to church service first and then open our gifts and having christmas dinner, things change sadly as the children have grown up and have to visit different family memebers now but we still enjoy all of it and being together!
Now I get to make new ornaments fore each grand child each year and want to start making each family memeber a stocking..
