JUST FOR LITTLE ONES
by Catie Gosselin of WomanLinks.com
Alphabet Fishing
Materials : magnet strip, fun foam, craft glue, scissors, yarn, metal paper
clip, 3D paint pens
Cut 52 orange-sized circles from the fun foam. Use the 3D paint to write a lower or upper case letter on each. Attach a piece of magnet strip to the back of each after the paint has dried. Cut a length of yarn, about an arm's length, and attach a paper clip on the end.
To Play : Show your child the letters on the foam circles. Practice
identifying capital and lower case letters. Place the circles face-down, and invite your child to 'fish' for the circles. Once a circle is caught, ask your child to identify the letter.
