Country Toothpick Holder

Rate Project: 


  • 1 Tara cotta pot 1 ?-inches high and 2-inches in diameter
  • Cotton twist cord
  • Small scrap of brown felt
  • White glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue gun
  • Beads, buttons or other items for decorating


Cut a small circle of felt the size of the inside bottom of the pot.

Using the paintbrush, paint glue over the entire surface of the pot. Allow to dry.

Glue the piece of felt to the inside bottom of the pot. cottatoothpick1.jpg - 3727 Bytes

Paint glue heavily on the outside of the pot. Staring at the bottom glue cord around and around the pot ending at the top. Cut cord and let dry.

Embellish with buttons, beads or other items.

Fill with toothpicks.

I am always looking for DIY projects which can be easily completed without special instruments. I am glad to find that this country toothpick holder is very easy to create and it doesn't require any expertise, I think it can be modified into a flower holder as well. Thanks english edit
