Brown Paper Bag Beauties
- One brown paper grocery bag
- One 6" grapevine wreath
- Acrylic paints (green and purple)
- Scrap ribbon for bow
- Decorative straw angel, 2"
- Baby's breath
- Tacky glue
- Small amount dried baby's breath
- 1" sponge brush
- Hole puncher
Tear approximately fifty 1" pieces from grocery bag, each resembling a rose petal. Tear twenty 2" leaf-shaped pieces from brown bag.
Paint 20 leaf pieces green, coating both sides.
Paint remaining torn pieces purple, coating both sides. Allow to dry.
Roll one purple-colered piece and glue the bottom edge. This will form the center of one rose.
Continue adding more pieces to rose gluing, rolling, and shaping the edges to resemble rose petals. Using approximately 12 or 15 pieces of torn paper for one rose.
Make two more roses so that you have a total of three paper roses.
Trim bottoms of roses flat when glue has dried.
Glue roses to front of wreath, referring to photo for placement.
Arrange green pieces aroung roses to resemble leaves. Bend edges and glue into place.
Glue baby's breath around roses.
Tie ribbon into bow with 8 loops and glue to top of wreath.
Glue straw angel inside wreath, using any extra torn paper pieces to stabilize her. Refer to photo for placement. Allow all glue to dry.
Cut 1" by 3" piece of brown paper and fold in half to form a gift tag. Punch hole in corner of gift tag. Use toothpick to decorate gift tag with dots of green, purple and white. Allow to dry. Attach gift tag to wreath with piece of lace ribbon.
